What are vacuum-sealed bags for food?
Vacuum-sealed bags are indispensable when it comes to food packaging; they are used to provide maximum protection for products, even over long periods of time. These pouches provide an optimal barrier to preserve the organoleptic properties of the food and to maintain the flavour and quality.
Volmar’s bags have a multi-layer structure, are suitable for contact with food products and are excellent value for money. They are available in several materials to ensure the best performance however they are used, and they can be printed in up to 8 colours in high definition.
The bags provide high-performance packaging that is ideal in many different contexts, from vacuum-sealed packaging to modified atmosphere packaging (MAP). These pouches allow you to increase storage time, keeping the food unaltered for long periods and providing adequate protection.

Materials and dimensions
The vacuum-sealed bags come in several sizes and materials, and fully customisable products are available on request. Depending on your requirements, bags can be produced in Coex or through the lamination of different polymers. Recently, Volmar has developed monomer bags with high barrier levels, which can be considered recyclable.

Which products can be packaged in the vacuum-sealed bags?
The bags can be used in a range of applications. They are ideal for food packaging for products such as cold meats, cheeses, dairy and deli products. These bags are also suitable for packaging rice, nuts, olives, mushrooms and pet products.
